An elegant Afghan pulwar sword with typical down bending quillons. The steel hilt with fretted dome, quillons and langets. Our example has a heavy laminated steel shamshir blade of Persian form with a thick spine ending in the yelman backedge. The blade is marked with a blacksmiths cartouche mark near the riccasso. Condition is good with two dents at the domes' rim and a small metal chip missing. No scabbard.
