A Moroccan Bu-Shfer Snaphaunce musket of the Altit type. The slender smoothbore barrel with belled muzzle above engraved silver plates; seventeen silver or brass barrel bands; breech section with integral rear sight and English proof marks. Substantial snaphaunce lock of characteristic form. Butt stock of characteristic form and covered with scrolling silver plates, small bone roundeds, the wrist reinforced with small silver bands and siver wire; butt composed of bone and ivory panels and secured by a silver framework.
Condition is good for this type of gun with dark mottled patina overall showing areas of wear. Length 161 cm.
