A nice Indian ‘bichwa’ dagger. The word translates to ‘Scorpion Sting’. It dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. It has a double edged re-curving blade, diamond shaped and swollen towards the tip and measures 21 cm. It is marked in the middle with a maker sign and riveted to the ring shaped hilt. A brass hilt with langets, decorated with geometrical design. Very good condition. Nice patina to the blade and crisp detailed grip. No scabbard.
