A set of four folios from a dispersed Quran by an Indian artist. Early 17th century on paper (260 x 165 mm.) Ten lines of the page written in large Naskh script in black and red ink, gold roundels & blue dots, ruled in blue and gold, catch words in wide margins, illuminated marginal devices, marginal commentaries, sura headings written in thuluth script on illuminated panels. Comes with 4 other text folio’s without embellishments from the same manuscript. (Picture shows recto verso of the same folio)
