Pour la petite histoire; this item was confiscated by Belgian customs who debated its legality. After more then a year the item was finally released and is offered here for sale.
This is an Indian Maduvu ; a parrying weapon, a self defence weapon favored by both the Marathas and Bhil people Jogis and fakirs. The more common name is Madu and it consists of two blackbuck antilope horns pointing in opposite directions with the horn tops reinforced with two small spearheads made of steel. This is a large variant with its overall size of 106cm. Condition is very good. A very unusual and decorative item. This is a Non-CITES listed item.
