Indian matchlock toradar

Rajasthan, early 19th century




A high quality Indian toradar musket. The twisted steel barrel measures 127 cm with three subtle brass inlay bands near the muzzle. Chiseled steel ramrod. Steel cutout side plates boarded with fleur-de-lis motives. The sectioned hardwood stock is stamped with an arsenal number (SLK 171) and features two symmetrical inlaid ivory geese. Steel trigger pierced with a bird. In fine working order and excellent condition.
