A pleasing traditional jambiya dagger in 'Mecca' style from Yemen. The dagger has a wide, curved, double-edged blade, with central raiser. The later modified T-shaped grip overall covered with silver foil, engraved with floral and geometrical motifs. The scabbard is made of wood plated with silver foil, richly pierced and engraved showing fine craftsmanship. Very good condition with some small minuscule dents to the scabbard. Lovely age patina. To be dated between 1900 and 1920.
