Kard dagger

A Persian kard with walrus ivory grip scales. Both scales have been refitted and one has a joined repair. The black wootz (Damascus) steel blade is heavy and thick. Finely adorned panels of gold scrolling foliage. Dated '182' (1769). The blade measures 22cm ferrule included. 327 grams. No scabbard.
