Kard knife from Persia

A fine quality kard knife with a black leather scabbard. Late 18th tot early 19th C. The 22 cm blade is thick and forged from black wootz steel. The spine moderately decorated with gold near the bolster. This knife has the tang of the blade inserted into one solid piece of walrus ivory. Excellent condition. 240 grams or 300 scabbard included. 32 cm overall
