Presented here is a fine 19th century jambiya dagger with a slightly curved double-edged wootz blade. The tapering blade has a raised central ridge and is decorated with floral onlay gold motifs. The typical elegant I-shaped handle is made of a solid piece of horn and has a smooth surface. The silver scabbard is well-chiseled with seamless flower patterns to both sides. The mouth section is boarded with Turquoise beads. Condition is very good with no restorations or tampering. Some minor gold loss and a very thin stress line in the base of the handle.
