Matching set of bichwa daggers

mid 19th century or later




A set of matching bichwa (bichuwa meaning 'scorpion sting') daggers. They're probably not initially intended as a pair but they are identical as to size, shape and ageing. Brass hilts and mountings. Original wooden leather covered scabbards. The double edged scorpion blades with reinforced diamond shaped tips. Bichwa were often combined with other weapons like the Bagh Nakh (tiger's claw) or in this case with another bichwa. 41cm in scabbard
