Miquelet lock

From a private collection. A miquelet lock mechanism from an Algerian musket. Many of these are dated beneath the hammer. This example is undated but likely between 1780 - 1820. Nicely chiseled in brass and steel. Good condition. 17,3 cm. Belgian art market.
