Mughal katar
North India, around 1800
Here we have an excellent full wootz (damask) katar with Bikaner or Bundi origins. Reinforced armour piercing blade (26 cm) with big central diamond section divided by a central ridge. Window shaped side bar finals. Two swollen and facetted cross bars enclosing two finely fretted symmetrical tendrils.
