A 19th century pulwar sword

A 'pulwar' sword is the Afghan version of the Indian 'tulwar'. The Pulwar hilt has a very distinct shape, with down curving quillons and a dome shaped pommel containing pieces of resin. The one offered here for sale is a good fighting sword, with a fullered steel unmarked blade measuring 77 cm long, with an 21cm back edge. It's a light version of the heavy pulwar with a deeply sharpened cutting edge and one fuller near the back edge. The steel handle is of typical shape with a half ball shaped and fretted pommel. Total length is 87 cm. Good condition. This sword has seen some action and there are some edge nicks from sword blows. Some play between blade and handle.
