A very nice silver Asib jambiya from the Taiz region of Yemen. This piece is loaded with silver and weighs nearly 1kg. Nicely excecuted grannulated decorations typical for this design. The dagger itself is most likely imported from Hodeida as was common practice. The hilts' pommel inscribed with maker marks. Condition is very good. A solid piece from the first quarter of the 20th century.
